Branston.—George Henry Branston, J.P., late of The Friary, Newark. Partner in the firm of Messrs. J. W. and H. Branston, maltsters, of Newark; for many years connected with the 4th Notts Volunteers, from which he retired with the rank of Major; had formed a large collection of antiquities, in which he was much interested. Married Gwynedd, daughter of the late Adam Eyton, J.P., of Llanerchy-mor, Holywell, Flintshire; had issue two sons, Henry Eyton, born 1878, and George Trevor, born 1884, and five daughters. Mr. Branston died on November 29th, 1900, aged fifty-one.
