Before William succeeded to the peerage, in 1679, he and his wife lived at Bulwell Wood Hall, in the Parish of Hucknall Torkard. Several of their children were baptised in the Church.

Anno Dmni 1665. 
    Richard, the sonne of Mr. Wm. Byron, Esqre., 
    was baptized the 17th of March.

1666.
    John, the sonne of William    Byron, of Bulwell 
    Wood, Esqre., and Dame Elizabeth, his 
    wife, was baptized    July the eighteenth.

1667.
    Henrietta et Maria, the daughter of the honble.  
    William Byron, Esqre., and Elizabeth, his wife, 
    was baptized the seventeenth  day of March.

William, the sonne of William Byron, Esqre., and 
    Dame    Elizabeth, his wife, was baptised 
    February the twenty-sixth, 1668.

1670.
    Juliana, daughter of the honble. William Byron, 
    of    Bulwell Wood, Esqre., and Elizabeth, 
    his wife, was baptized May the    nineteenth day.

1673.
  Anne, the daughter of William . . . . . of Bulwell
  Wood, Esq., . . . . . his wife . . . . . 
  (This  entry is almost illegible. Transcript 
  reads: “Anne, daughter of William Byron,
  Esq.,  and Dame Elizabeth, his wife, was 
  baptized the 8th of July.”)
Of these children Richard died at the age of one.

1666.
    Mr.    Richard Byron, the sonne of Mr. Will 
    Byrion, was buried the 8th March.
Henrietta Maria died at the age of four years.

    his wife, was buried August the tenth 
    day, 1671.
Anne died in 1675 at the age of two.

    his wife, was buried Aprill the fifth day.
The baptism and death of one child, Ernest, are recorded together.

    wife, was baptised March the fifth day. 
    The same year was buried  March the ninth day.
