PREFACE.
This illustrated Guide Book to Nottingham is a very considerably enlarged, and carefully revised edition of "Allen's Strangers'and Visitors' Guide to Nottingham; or what to see and how to see it in one day"—a pamphlet of sixteen pages, which was published about ten years ago—and some valuable local historical matter: " Nottinghamshire Memorabilia. The number of illustrations is now increased tenfold. This handbook is published to supply a want long felt by visitors to this ancient, important, and interesting town. It is hoped that it will not only be serviceable to this class, but will be found of some value to residents in Nottingham.
